The body goes first
For years I looked for clarity in the wrong place.
Methods. Systems. A better way to arrange the hours.
What actually decides how I think is whether I have moved and whether I have slept.
Depleted, I can still work. I just stop seeing a problem from more than one side, and I answer things instead of considering them.
Stress does not stay in the head. It settles in the shoulders, the jaw, the breath, and from there it edits everything.
The clearest decisions I have made came after the hardest training. Not because the effort made me sharper. Because it gave the thinking somewhere to happen.
I used to fit movement in when there was time left over. I have it the other way around now, on purpose.
